Pauline Maudy & Paddy McHugh
Two accomplished songwriters, one from Tamworth and the other from Paris, meet when they share a three-day ride to North Queensland and begin a partnership that will see them weave songs of love, lust and grit with duets reminiscent of Jack and Meg White or Johnny and June.
Paddy McHugh is known for his disarmingly honest songwriting and emotionally resonant performances, drawing comparisons to artists such as Paul Kelly, Mark Seymour, Billy Bragg and Damien Dempsey. His vivid storytelling has seen him tour extensively and share stages with artists such as Sinéad O’Connor, Joe Pug and Damien Dempsey.
Known for her work as the frontwoman of acclaimed six-piece band MZAZA and prolific solo collaborations, Pauline Maudy is widely celebrated for her emotional depth, poetic lyricism and a powerful, unmistakable voice. Her work has earned major recognition including Australian Folk Music Artist of the Year, and multiple Queensland Music Awards for Best Song (World).
