2023 Australian Folk Music Awards — Solo Artist of the Year!
Pauline has been announced as Solo Artist of the Year in the Australian Folk Music Awards!
Here is what was said on the night:
Pauline is a prolific singer and songwriter who consistently makes an outstanding contribution to our sector, community, and to our shared artistic legacy. The last 12 months have seen her create new work, represent Australia and France at the Nufolk residency in Sicily, mentor emerging artists, and design community workshops that support the sustainability of folk music. She performed across the country with her award winning ensemble of 19 years MZAZA, presented her show Take Me to Paris, and collaborated with a suite of other artists including composer Robert Davidson with whom she is developing a song cycle to celebrate human resilience in the face of illness, migration, and trauma.
